I rode to the library and got Water, by Rumi, Shade, by Sam Bloch, and Exophony, by Yoko Towada, then I rode to Pebble Beach. Someone drew Handala and Free on the Palestine stone. I met Jenna and his dog Frankie. When I was in the water I felt like I could be in any body of water anywhere on the planet, but I was specifically here. I got a note from The Electronic Intifada with the name of the musician in Gaza, Ahmed Muin Abu Amsha, who sang with his class in a tent, accompanied by drones. Today I feel lucky to be alive and listening.
