people will think what they will based on personal prejudice and indoctrination, and we might also do it to ourselves. we don't need to. we need to express ourselves. that's just practical. we don't need to neglect ourselves or internalize people's prejudice or society's indoctrination. we need to express ourselves without the constraint of simply making a living. making a living includes the expression of our unique being. i now feel lucky to be a dog walker and to write and post pictures, and i still see that people will see me as they will, and i'll continue to try to see me as i am. society won't give us freedom. we give it to ourselves.
