love this kid. i found her on the sidewalk and brought her up to show r. and she says put it outside, for pete's sake.

 so i brought her back to the elevator, this time the people's elevator not the freight.

and i showed her herself in the elevator mirror. i doubt she had ever seen herself before, or even knew who she was looking at. she may have thought who is that strange creature, or might have thought she had a long lost twin.

she may have known it was a mirror, and enjoyed having a mirror twin.

on the elevator she poked me with her proboscis, if that's what it's called, and it felt weird and i jumped and she jumped to the carpet. sorry i said, i didn't know you were going to do that.

and she rode my finger out into the light, and she saw the green lights, and before i could say a so long, fare thee well, she was sky-borne. so long! fare well!
