i'm thinking about it, about people of the leash, and it keeps bugging me; why is natural freedom such a problem for some people? the same people who insist on the leash unquestioningly, without conscience or discretion, irresponsibly are to my thinking the same ones who make democracy unthinkable. everyone is under the law the same, without individual regard. how can any spirit thrive in such a system. why does the leash mean good, and freedom bad?
oh god that depresses me. i would love to see dogs walking humans, see how they would like the leash then. would they find the leash good, a comfort and security, upon their neck?
i think about the blockade these folks create. they send out the vibrations of distress way down the path, they tug on the leash, they are confused, they look at one another, they don't know where to go? a dog walking off the leash sends them into a panic. everyone is halted, in panic and confusion and rising anger. why? when we could smile and pass with a good day, or even pause and allow the dogs to greet? even when the humans lock horns and scorns, the dogs often will ignore our ignorance and simply do as they would instinctively, say hello, and wag in offering of friendship. which even in the moment of battle i note is amazing, quietly amazing in the midst of our futile war. why is this amazing me? because peace and tranquil greeting always amazes me in humans. i want to kiss the ground at the wonder of it. when dogs do it all the time.
