confession: i abandoned the wretched of the earth on page six.  i am sort of ashamed, in truth, i feel wretched, yet i get it, i think. and i don't think the wretched will overcome, they will simply endure as william faulkner said. 

still, it is good
to use what little intellect and energy
i still have to be ashamed
and ensouled. 

i was not a good scholar,
except for wretched shame,
