i want to think about anomalisa but my brain is sluggish. or is it the film? or both.
the main thing i got was the feeling of gratitude when the main character says the president's a war criminal.
and that they are all robots of technological conformity, though one wants desperately to non-conform, to the extent that maybe he invents anomalisa, who
out of homeliness and desire for acceptance, tries to become his anomaly, and fails.
i have to see it again maybe with kaufman's comments. i'm sure i'm a dullard on it at this point, and maybe i should just say i'm glad he said obomba's a war criminal, even an animation robot, but kaufman too. i know there's something about mass technology and mass technology and the want of reality, and despair in it that i am feeling my way toward understanding.  thanks, charlie.
