the storms altered pebble beach radically, actually smoothing it out and making it sandier. but now they put a no swimming sign up which i will defy to the death. a cop stopped and watched copp swimming but fortunately had the intelligence to leave us be. meanwhile a cyclist broke his wrist riding through the storm wrack on the path but they did nothing to clear it so there will likely be more injuries. the controls are getting more pervasive by day and the world less free and more dangerous. i despair, but i'm stuck in it, and i keep on.
