the woman i spoke of yesterday who threatened me did so before also when we were behaving well and causing no harm and nothing came of it. but she continues to sporadically terrorize us. it's similar to the control freaks who don't want us on the island, or free anywhere. she knows we are no danger, she knows she is harassing and terrorizing us, she has the law on her side, she is wretched, she is evil, she knows the dog is not dangerous, she insists he is. what she abhors is me my anarchic freedom from the leash. she hates freedom. this is the central lie of america, that it is a land of freedom, of lovers of freedom, it is not, it is a country that manufactures what it sells as freedom which is merely the empty seduction of freedom and is in reality slavery, coercion, conformity.
