reading guantanamo diary, the first heavily redacted prisoner account since our terror began, it's clear the u.s. is the preiminent global terrorist network defining all others and operating unlike any other with complete impunity if not secrecy.

conscience redacted

it just came out that way

o god they're grilling animals next door again on chemical briquets.

how long will the u.s. be the preiminent terrorist network?

but what does it say that the terrorists allow an account even heavily redacted to emerge from the human horror of guantanamo? maybe they are going soft on terror. maybe they want to confess that power is terror and they are very tired of living in their entitled skins.

i went back this afternoon, the water felt different. i was lonely for copp.

today i'll do nothing for homeland security,

save lay down on the roof and dream.

i was walking around the swamplet in a dance of dragonflies when i heard this girl singing a beautiful japanese song and i didn't want her to stop so i turned silently into the swamplet but she stopped and went round the other way and crossed the spider bridge.

the dragonflies were everywhere today, the water was calm and silky and the air alive with wings. copp is so attentive and sweet and makes me feel like a good person. which may be illusory but it feels right nonetheless. he knows the best me.

mister snagglepuss. glorious water. thousands running a race beside it, and i think, why are you racing hard, why are you not waterborne?

pow!

powa in the brain.

i saw cherry blossoms, by doris dorie, and fell in love again. now i'm reading a redacted memoir by one of our sad prisoners jailed without charge and tortured for fifteen years in the guantanamo the liar obomba promised to close eight years ago.
