R. came back from Delaware and we ate white pizza and watched a slow cinema Magellan movie. I said I barely remember Magellan from history class but I guess he was a conquistador. It took almost three hours to see him dead. It's a timely film story that save for period details and ancient technology could be about the conquests of the empire today, the empire now being not the Portuguese, but the United States of Israel. It can be seen as an endless tale of inhumanity, yet I was thinking how miserable the conquistadores were, and the imperialists are, and how they seem to walk their own plank of destruction, and the earth will shrug them off like another plague, and life will be continued.
