the land thieves say, it's only a little land, 25 acres, but it's our park. it's all concrete and styrofoam and pipes. it was already land taken from the people who lived here before, a waterland, that provided life. this provides a fake experience of history in a conning tower, a hollow history, curated, imaginary experience, made up. leaving us with something like land loneliness, even though it was already stolen land. it was green space, it breathed, and now it's breathless architecture, and it will be celebrated by the land thieves and their supporters, but for others who feel and are in reality displaced, it's a manufactured, alien, lonely landscape.
