the pres. of audubon said she'd get back with a statement about audubon and obomba, stay tuned... she said. i'm keenly tuned to silence. maybe that's what she means. i'm told the audubon society takes no position that will mean confronting the powerful interests that will confiscate and privatize the people's park and nature sanctuary, so they are not an organization that protects birds. birds are symbolic to their mission, which is to raise money for the audubon society. kind of like obomba raising money for the ceo's of corporations, his constituency.
so no one is protecting public land or wildlife. the only hope we have is the lawsuit that charlotte has initiated, and i fear the judge will be bought. even with the logan foundation supporting protect our parks, obomba has silicon valley, and a ready supply of wall street moguls and international financial pirates. i think we birds of a ruffled feather are fucked frankly, but i hope... i'm not staying tuned to the precedent of silence of audubon, yet i'm in solidarity with the birders who are passionate not about birds as symbols but about actual birds and the habitat that birds depend on. i know individuals are not organizations. organizations, like the obomba fundation, tend to be corrupted by no ideals save cold hard cash, the all-american ideal.
