I thought of making a box nest for the red bat, and I even thought of bringing the bat inside for warmth, but that would not have been a good idea in practice, because Olive would be too curious and want to play, and also because the bat needed to be on its way. Looking at the picture I see what appears to be ruffled fur from dog snuffling.
