it's not out of vanity, or only partly, i'm my subject, as mister is, and i'm his. and all this, out here, ours, this world we walk in and meditate on.
i said to sarah, knowing her abhorrence of dirty politics, when i mention my anger and frustration about shills on the opc site, 

i know- too political. but this is vital to me and mister and the blog. and a lot of trees and critters, as well as being an engine of gentrification.

sorry that was unfair. i think this is a-political really. this is the ground of reality, where politics breaks ground. this is where we live, we want to live. and this, all this feeds in, to a vision of green space for all. this green (and white) open space.
this is become my funny vision of community, in here, but out there, all at once, a continuum, the inner and outside worlds we inhabit, the community we share.


i mean --i dont think you realize how you BRING THIS love of these spaces TO PEOPLE

like me --who are almost "shut ins"....

we get to enjoy this.......ALL of it

incl the dead animals

the physics books in harold's park

copp's headwear

its really a VITAL service in some ways

and so personal......

its touching, doug.

and so beautiful and REAL like when you do depression or other kinds of angst

and i love how you've brought other people in also

sarah, you find something here if you can't get out there. you find me and mister here, the ice garden, the trees that have been, the trees that may be, felled, the people who say what matters and what doesn't, the ones who say the park matters for human utility, the ones who don't use the park, the open space, the nature they need so desperately, the nature they will sacrifice on the alter of power.
