penny is getting old, faster after jaspie died. age comes more suddenly with some animals. penny's always been so animated and spry. she doesn't zoom like she did a little while ago, or leap onto the windowsill. i feel our spirits moving closer together. she lets me hold and massage her and she curls up next to me purring with love. when jaspie left we still had penny. when penny leaves we just have memories.
