summer of soul is soul good. it's sad that it sat in the can in a basement for 50 years. it should have been watched. i could have watched it when i was 10. because it was black and america is a racist country they canned it. they only let it happen because black leaders were being murdered and cities were burning and they thought it would soothe the unrest, but it also brought them together, and raised consciousness, and consciousness is a threat to the hateful order of the racist state. afterwards it was shut in a basement like it never happened, but it did, and now it's in the light.
