if a symbol is explained it isn't symbolic anymore. i read that but i still hafta think about it. i saw a party at the mouth of the tunnel in a delta of grass with a flag flying upside down. it was near to the flag bed inside the tunnel (with the flag flying rightside up but flat or flat with lumps). i almost wanted to take a picture and they may have stared hard and asked me what the fuck i think i'm doing and i'd say i just wondered if this is an anti-capitalist or colonialist independence day party or simply a forsaken country in distress party, anyway i was already in the tunnel almost to the bed saying nah. we saw a game of risk on the way to the drugstore and i said i should take a picture and r. laughed, and i said you know just things on a walk, somebody giving up their game of empire on independence day. symbolic or what. but on the way back we crossed over to the side with a kids free sidewalk sale and didn't recross for the game risk. it doesn't make a difference i said. aesthetically i mean. it's not pretty and a dumb game, but the words serve for the post. i did take pix of the moonday musicians concert flyers but i didn't get us tickets. we didn't get invited to a single independence day party which is ok it's not our holiday even though sadly we are the dependents of the settler colonialists.
