hilde lost a tooth so i was supposed to watch what she ate in the park and while watching comet ran off to a dog they said was not friendly but seemed ok. comet wasn't bad except for running over to a stranger, he usually pauses and stays if i say, but anyway it feels surpassing strange out there, a woman looked at me hard sideways for passing too close and grimaced covering her mouth and i whistled a ditty like passing a graveyard and i was—every grimace is a graveyard of teeth. i just can't stay in the panic mode. some people are smiling like hey, it's a respite from normal life and a non-commercial holiday. some smile as to ward off the plague and some faces are a rictus of fear of everyone including dogs. when we got back mary showed me hilde's lost tooth and i said that's an odd looking tooth. it was round and pinkish red with an S printed on it. what? i gotta get new glasses! and we had a good laugh—it was a skittle. nicholas said i like this stay at home thing. he was giddy with pleasure playing the video game the grim reaper, his avatar, force of nature and order.
