last night we watched wild wild country about a guru who fled india for america to begin again to start his empire anew and it was a capitalist scourge of a tiny town and valley in oregon. it made me think of obomba. the charisma i guess, though this bagwan was weirder he was just another capitalist apex predator. i said something about b.o. and the bagwan to r. in the kitchen heating cherry pie and she said, obomba's worse. true, his land grab is more heinous, and will wreck a lot more lives, and he stole the land. at least the bagwan bought the land, though with stolen money. anyway it got like the wild west and everyone was packing guns and the posse took the town and the citizens were terrorized. rather like here with the obomba posse and all the people packing heat and shooting for money. anyway sure it's a stretch, but the mind gets stretched these days by the ubiquitous, by the rubber stamp of the overachievers, the gaping incredulity of the endless predation of finite resources, of the gobsmacked denizens of the global land grab. and i was stuck in some freakish dream ashram with my mysterious itch til dawn and now i got to put on snow pants and walk the dog.
i think it's funny the bagwan settled here cuz he was indicted in india and for the religious freedom to incorporate and quickly took over. the pilgrims came here for religious freedom too, and quickly took over with guns and corporations. really they were exploiters and land grabbers from the gitgo.
