what do we get by studying evil? we get that it's so ordinary. that it's a system. that we're all subjects of it. that trump is a cancer. that the system produces cancer. that we are hosts. that we are subjects. we learn this regime is not unique, nor uniquely stupid, nor uniquely evil. we learn that it is only much later in the game than we previously think.
