capitalism is a planetary catastrophe. capitalism is the fuel and the addiction to the fuel. capitalism is the global drug market. capitalism produces alienation, isolation, inequality, depression, suicide, war. capitalism is the rich devouring the poor. capitalism is death. it is not the lesser versus the greater evil, or the eternal struggle of good and evil. it's just exploitation to exhaustion and to death.

i know, i know. it sounds like a bunch of placards from the g20 protest. but it comes of that and texting about the industry of addiction/recovery and then a radio program about capitalism and addiction. it all comes to the same thing. i was saying to s. how recovery programs are an industry like the cancer industry. it seems we can only treat the disease by treating the symptoms, leaving the disease, because it can't be eradicated from the system, because it is the system. the addictions are global coping mechanisms doomed to fail, like the system itself.
