as per usual it's all bad news 
except for the good stuff.  
the global seed bank 
set deep in the arctic permafrost 
has been breached by meltwater.  
i've wondered where 
they will plant those seeds 
with the whole planet in meltdown, 
but it does smart to save the seeds, 
as we've always done, 
as nature intends, 
and maybe they can 
put them in a space station ecosphere, 
and a few of us can go along 
who have green thumbs 
and a tolerance for 
interspatial loneliness. 

i imagine somebody has some good news
to please send me.
