i picked up APPLIED ASTROLOGY from the free books at powell's last week. yesterday i found in chapter 11 a story of a letter sent from someone doing an article on one Mme.E asking the astrologer to do a "blind" reading. when she got it she couldn't detect a single false conclusion. the subject turned out to be Isabelle Eberhardt.

it's that she died very young, had a strange tumultuous passionate life, and i have wandered into her books before. finding this account in a box on the sidewalk in chapter 11 in a book that looks so plain. it is surely a sign. i go back to Mme. E.
