lone oak fathers day. dad used to take us for bad haircuts and then to the lone oak tavern to play shuffleboard. i still recall the feel of the shuffle-pucks gliding on fine sand down the maple lane. dad was so aloof in his flat-top, and we hated having our hair cut, but we loved the warm beer light and shuffleboard. happy fathers day dad-in-the-afterlife.
