i follow depave chicago today. anything that wants to make the city better i will follow. the opposite of depaving is happening here at the obamachron. the soil is removed and replaced by packed gravel and concrete. this is obama's paved paradise, but we know it as a heat island,  with the landscape threat of an ivory tower looming. we'll witness how that goes, but it's a done deal we already know.
