we found a christ on a stick at the base of the crabapple where i put the yellow lei so lulu couldn't eat anymore plastic flowers and it kind of creeped me out, i'm suspicious and superstitious about such fetishes but lulu gladly accepted him as in lieu of the lei and ran to the black lives memorial wall where i left it under the we the people poster and the no justice no peace one that still remain. 

post dat. and you can't blame lulu for being sacrilegious, she can't be she's never heard of the jesus. to her it's just a guy on a stick, it works for the time being, i know i led her astray, but she's not religious anyway. 

also i didn't read the whole paragraph but jay franke wrote a real stupid letter to the editor that looks ridiculous after the good sense of richard epstein. i didn't read it but r. read a few choice morsels and since i'm making a footnote i'm going to read, and it's kind of funny. he says If we were god we might put the obama Fundation Tower elsewhere, in the interest of Community — But we are not God. Huh? we're mere foolish mortals looking a giant gift horse in the mouth — a gift from God, as it were. then he goes on to talk about democracy and sacrificing the Jewel of Jackson Park in order to make a more perfect park by giving it away to private enterprise in the guise of a fake ex-presidential liebrary. democracy means you got to pay to play, and pay perversely, and you got to break a few hard-headed eggs.
