purple martin by the highway on the asphalt path to the nature sanctuary. i can see this bird's last swoop for an insect at twilight. and crossing the highway my bones can almost feel the impact.

last week again we said i can't find one positive thing about the obama fundation taking up residence in the park. trying to cross this highway with cars speeding by at 60 mph i think, the only positive thing is obama doesn't want cars speeding through obamaland. he wants them to stop and read the his immortal words carved in white stone on the 23rd floor. so the highway by the nature sanctuary will be closed. 

and the clarence darrow bridge, closed since the deal was sealed, will open again (or be destroyed and rebuilt to suit the obama fundation aesthetic. 

no, there's no positive in the privatization of the park. i thought at least that fucking highway will be gone, but the highway on the lake will be twice as wide, and the road rage will increase all around the domain of obamaland. praise be, the waters will also rise with his tower in the park. maybe we'll get a featherlight kayak and row around the tower, inshallah, and with the warming we will have the once migrating waterbirds the year round for 99+ years, or until the next unsettling precedent.
