i finished the overstory, pshew. it was a good book but it was a bit long in the tooth, and the characters were not deeply felt by me. nevertheless it was good writing and it spoke for the trees which came before us idiots and will be here long after we annihilate ourselves in this conflagration we call civilization. maybe some good ideas will be preserved by a few of us in some seed bank in a mountain stay.
