and now...another stupid comment by sid:

Dear All,
I have a difficult time perceiving that the federal agencies who will review the Obama Center, under appropriate laws for national historic sites, will not be unconsciously or consciously affected by the very large s***head of President Trump in their minds.   These federal officials may not want to do anything that will make their leader Trump fire them or worse.   Just my $.02!!  :)
as has been demonstrated, pres trump doesn't really know what a park or natural area, is!
Anyway, my opinion is that the most value for people's time is now going to correspond to time spent helping make the programs of the Obama Center best match up with the needs of the children and adults of the local and beyond-local areas, rather than disputing the site that the Obama Center has submitted one week ago to the Mayor and city.   Another $.02 !!!   :)

Yours,
Sid

-i guess a park or natural area is a place to build a 23 story tower and clear cut all the trees.
the tree doesn't fall far from the apple, sid. think about it. [ed.]

The ObamaCenter group was formed not too long ago by Jay for the purpose of allowing expression of diverse views on the OPC without disturbing the uninterested members of the GN group.  And, in the past week, many, many GNs have joined to, I presume learn from and contribute to the discussion.

But recently, both you, Sid, and Mary have suggested that we restrict our contributions to this group solely to improving the OPC's programs rather than to contesting the Jackson Park site.  Why bother having this new ObamaCenter group at all, if we proscribe the scope of viewpoints.  I, for one, have been quite hurt and intimidated by the know-it-all, take-charge tone instructing me about what is permissible to say--to, in effect,  keep my 2 cents worth to myself.  That's how I took it.  If that is not how it was meant, than I stand corrected.

Kathleen

-thank you very much kathleen. i almost felt a shill in the air. [ed.]
