whippets, the dogs, i always thought were a unique breed but i learned today they are the runts of the greyhound family, the rejects who charmed the non-race enthusiasts and became a diminutive breed of their own, with delicate gentility and integrity.  
i said to her newly adopted mom funny they call them whippet's, 
when i was in high school whippets were those little cannisters like in redi-whip whip cream, the propulsant that gave us the giggles and a massive headrush.  
and the jiggy devo song, whippet good.  yeah, she's a different breed,
