let us speak on the american sniper theme.
(jangly chaotic susurrant strings)
i don't pretend to know what it means
but i seen about four different american sniper fillums
recently.
last night was a good one, blue caprice, where a dude learns from his pa(common-law),
how to shoot, and from the american military sniper handbook, how to kill
at random and cause chaos in the enemy, which in this instance, and probly
in all the other american sniper movies and real life inspirations, is citizens
like us.
i was gonna wax on, but maybe i'll not.
ok thanks, i shall.
just think, clint(the gunslinger)eastwood's american sniper, gus van sant's elephant, oh what was it, tower, the one with the dude mowing citizens down from a bell tower, and blue caprice, by that french fellow.
you wonder why. it's a mysterious entanglement of my library, the blackstone, and me. theses themes seek me. i'm americane.
the freeway sniper had the best of music, going from casper the friendly ghost (a-haunting we will go, they translate as a-hunting we will go), to arvo part, beatus petronius
my skin crawling. strange, because i was also texting r., and feeling that fun tingly-tingly of heart and head and loin. so be it, we are so joined.

the french fellow said,
when you live in the u.s. the prime of violence is something that you experience every day.
it is a very violent country. it's in its dna. and not only physical violence but the economics, the social tissues are extremely harsh and violence is the social contract.

from the american military manual, the sniper handbook:
"the sniper must be able to calmly and deliberately kill targets that may not pose an immediate threat to him. it is much easier to kill in self-defense or in the defense of others than to kill without an apparent reason. a sniper must not be susceptible to emotions such as anxiety or remorse.
"realization of the sniper's presence instills fear in the enemy, influences their decisions and actions. the sniper's role is unique in that it is the sole role that becomes more significant when the target is entrenched or positioned among civilians."

a-hunting we will go.
