| in the act of killing the fat thug sidekick who has been submitting to the wishes of his boss thug and dressing up as the chinese revenge goddess from the boss nightmares gets fed up and decides to be boss himself and goes into politics. he has a frozen rictus smile as he goes around extorting support and loses. obomba is his hero. obomba is from his land, indonesia. obomba's mama took him back to america because indonesia was too haunted by all the killing. the director says everyone there says things they don't believe. and you can see it on the thug politicians face, and on obomba's, though the latter is lithe and a much better liar, it still shows clearly, he's lying, and he knows he's lying, even when he says he will be haunted by all his victims that are dying for democracy. in the film they kill communists and the offspring of communists, but they can't kill off all the ghosts, who are more legion than the thugs. this is obomba's world. i can only hope he has comes to the pass the top killer in the act of killing does, his gorge finally rising, unmasked, undeniable, as he violently wretches into the basin where he dispatched victims. of course obomba only sees pictures of his victims, and doesn't get to garrote them like the indonesian gangsters, but as his speech about being haunted shows, he's removed, but not immune. like the thug killer in indonesia, he's just human, not immune. but like the killer in the film says, we just keep killing, and never get punished, with the feeling of disappointment, wanting it, and like the killer in the movie obomba will go unpunished as will his henchmen, save by his ghosts. |
