most of the people have no power whatsoever. the only power is money. corporations have unlimited power. they can buy the ground under your feet and build a tower where you live and golf where you walk. people cede the power they lack to the powerful. they feel a part of something much bigger than them, they shelve their small plans. the towers of the powerful express the lack of power of the people on the ground, and they stand displaced in a trance-like shock and sad awe, looking up at those behind the tinted glass looking down.
but we can be glad we don't have that kind of power and we can feel the ground beneath our feet like roots feel.
